Seeds need cold exposure to germinate well in warm weather. Prepare fertile, well-drained soil. Sow seeds in seed starter one month early. Transplant the seedlings in a sunny place in early spring or mid/late summer. Keep soil moist and fertilize as needed. Harvest young leaves at early rosette stage before they get tough. Harvest stem when 1~2 ft tall before bolting.
